More than 1,100 plants in six varieties are planted in 5 large gardens. We feature: True Grosso, Provence, Hidcote, Folgate, Munstead, and Phenomenal. This is a nice mix of French and English lavenders. We have two more beds prepared for planting in May of 2018 with four more varieties: Gros Bleu, Royal Velvet and Betty’s Blue and Beuna Vista. We plant and manage our lavender following organic practices. The lavender buds do not have any herbicides or pesticides and are proudly offered for use to regional locavores.
Tatted lace is hand-crafted using old world techniques. Anita has been making tatted itemss for more than 20 years, is a member of two Lace Guilds, and is the only tatter, worldwide, to complete the International Organization of Lace, Inc. (IOLI) Tatting Technical Proficiency Program. We sell a variety of tatted lace products and offer lace-making classes. Her tatting has been highlighted and published in The Piedmont Virginia magazine and featured in newspaper articles and lace magazines.
Visit our cottage shop for lavender and lace items. Our shop products include: sachets, candles, lotions, teas, fire sticks, bath salts, dream pillows, hot/cool neck packs along with culinary lavender buds and recipes. In the future we plan to add jams and honey. Our lace products include: earrings, necklaces and heirloom handkerchief sachets. Our lavender is simply serene. Tatted Lace is seldom seen!
